Hymn
All-Atoning Blood
Words: Foster, John O.
O my Saviour, thou hast washed me In the all-atoning blood, Thou hast purchased my redemption For the heritage of God; And the whisper of thy Spirit Thrills my soul with love divine, While the blessed, sweet communion Gives assurance I am thine.
Refrain
I am washed in the blood, I am washed in the blood of the Lamb; When his precious love was given I was made and heir of heav’n: I am washed in the blood of the Lamb.
Yes, the Spirit’s intercession Has availed for even me; He has burst the bars asunder, And has set my spirit free. Christ my Lord shall reign forever In this willing heart of mine; While the light of blessed tokens All along my journey shine. [Refrain]
Blessed be the cleansing fountain Opened for each guilty soul, Thor’ the royal house of David, That the sinner may be whole! Tho’ your sins may be as scarlet They shall be as white as snow; Praise his holy name forever, Jesus’ cleansing power I know! [Refrain]
