Hymn

God’s Word Shall Endure

Words: Cleator, Alice Jean, 1871-1926

1

O soldiers of Christ, thou shalt victory win! God sendeth his word as love’s token; ‘Tis changeless and sure, It shall ever endure! No promise shall ever be broken!

Refrain

No promise shall ever be broken! No promise shall ever be broken! God’s word shall endure! It is changeless and sure! No promise shall ever be broken!

2

Each blessed assurance is mighty in pow’r, As sure as when first they were spoken; ‘Tis gladness to know, while we’re serving below, No promise shall ever be broken! [Refrain]

3

Be strong in his service to do and to dare, And trust in the Bible—God’s token! It ever shall stand As the work of God’s hand, No promise shall ever be broken! [Refrain]
