Hymn
Press Along
Words: Oatman, Johnson, Jr., 1856-1922
Far beyond all the reaches of our vision here, Is a bright and happy home on high; And sometime in the dawning of that morning clear, We shall reach the pearly Gates by and by.
Refrain
Then press along, the press along, Keep your faces turned t’ward the sky, Never be discouraged for God’s Word says We shall reach the Pearly Gates by and by.
Though at times we grow weary when the road seems long, And for rest up yonder oft we sigh; Yet this blessed assurance keeps our courage strong, We shall reach the pearly Gates by and by. [Refrain]
Many friends have departed for that land so fair, And have found those mansions in the sky; Very soon we will join them in that home up there, When we reach the pearly Gates by and by. [Refrain]
